Funeral etiquette for a co-worker?

To all, I have lost a lovely lady in my company that we all adored, she died unexpectedly at the age of 40 yesterday. I'm so very sad, she was a friend as well as an employee, we only knew each other since January but I adored her.

As this is a new business venture, none of us had ever met her husband or extended family. What would be appropriate, send flowers on behalf of the company, let each employee send a card to her husband, or please suggest an alternative.

Thank you to all in advance.
Funeral etiquette for a co-worker?
Yes, please send a floral arrangement on behalf of the company. And do encourage others to send personal cards to the family. All these things will be of great comfort to the grieving.

Sorry for your loss.
Reply:sending flowers would be a nice gesture , its hard i know where i work they sent me flowers when one of my relatives died , it meant a lot to me at the time
Reply:Flowers for sure, then maybe something for the family to share while together (fruit basket or something)! At funeral let husband know how you felt about recently deceased and ask if there is anything that they need! Not sure where you live, but many times at times like this, the family could use help running people to or from airport! Maybe even fix a meal for them! Sorry about your loss, will keep you and family in prayers!
Reply:I would send flowers as a company but maybe a fruit basket to the house (personal). And yes personal cards ... the ones with everyones signatures is sort of inpersonal and tacky.
Reply:Write a letter to her husband, expressing your sorrow and sympathy, and how you felt about her, possibly sharing a story about her that is an example of why you had such affection for her.

It's called a letter of condolence.

Anyone who also wanted to write the husband should feel free to.

It would also be a nice gesture to attend whatever service they have, and introduce yourself to the husband, saying the same kinds of things as in the letter.
