I want to preserve a flower?

ive heard of a spray but idk. i got a rose from my grandfathers funeral and i really want to preserve it
I want to preserve a flower?
At some good craft stores they sell a silica product that you immerse the entire flower in, it's like a granular sustance, they can tell you how long to leave it in and I have seen them when they are done and it is remarkable-probably the best way to preserve something that important.(And you can use it over and over.) I just put the rose from my uncles in a heavy book in waxed paper, but it's nowhere near the same. With the stuff I'm talking about the shape of the rose is preserved along with the color. good luck.
Reply:There is a spray you can use and you can also dip the rose in wax. We used to put them inside the pages of a really big heavy book and let them dry. They keep pretty well that way too.
Reply:i onse put a flower in cear atibacterial soap and put in in a cool sealed jar and the soap killed the bacteria thus not lettting it decompose
