Mark Speights funeral, How can I find out where and when it is?

My son and I met him in 2006 and my son is desperate to go just so he can place some flowers, will it be in the newspapers when the family announce it or not, please if anyone knows, thanks.

I would imagine it will be a private family funeral, especially since he committed suicide. Perhaps you could find out who his agent was and send flowers, or wait until afterwards to ask if you can place the flowers yourselves.
Reply:I would imagine if the Speight family were to announce it, you'd find it in The Times, however, as one other answer suggests, email the BBC and see if there is any information about it. You may be able to forward some flowers, I doubt they'd give you full details though.

Reply:I think it is better to leave that to his family and close friends - its intrusive to turn up to something which is a private gathering. I dont mean this to sound harsh on you but it is about him and his family not other people. They have been through enough, the two families in this, without having to deal with public too.



Leave it be and maybe plant a tree/plant in your garden with your son?
Reply:Unless you are a close friend, I think that you should do something else with your son to remember him. Funerals are for the family and friends of the deceased.
